"Drawing heavily on elements from ambient electronic music, With Me, We Walk sees Rebecca blending synthesised sounds with organic, lush field recording soundscapes, creating a beautiful juxtaposition of the artificial and the natural. Self-described as “anxious electronica”, With Me, We Walk also sees Rebecca narrating several tracks, with several, touching spoken word tracks punctuating the record. On 'With Me, We Walk,' Rebecca has crafted an aural experience that ebbs and flows between luscious and calm sonic worlds to lose one’s self in". - RTRFM

Rebecca's debut album, 'with me, we walk', is an accumulation of tracks over her career as an electronic music producer, made up of sounds and words that can be described as dreamy, reflective, ambient and minimal. The album was finished, mixed and mastered during the first few months of COVID-19, and is a direct reflection of this isolated experience, both sonically and visually, along with the album's accompanying images and films: “The whole concept we’ve been working with has been the idea of bringing the extraordinary to the ordinary. The unexpected colour in the black and white of routine The album is about the experience of being home day to day and trying to find comfort in different ways."

The album was released as a 3 day-interactive headphone experience, whereby participants received a third of the album each day along with spoken movement provocations co-written by Rebecca Riggs-Bennett and Ellen Hope-Thomson.

RTRFM INTERVIEW
As a participant in the album launch, I had the opportunity to work though gentle and guided prompts, all while “visiting” these unique techno-worlds through the comfort of my ear buds. Facilitating movement, (quiet) meditation and vivid visualisation, With Me, We Walk reached my senses in such a distinct way, moving my body and my soul." - Album launch participant, 2020
The format of the launch wasn't one I was familiar with, but felt similar to a guided meditation through my own thoughts and feelings while being directed by the music. It was an indelible and undeniably powerful experience, and it was a true joy to listen and feel involved."  - Album launch participant, 2020
